    14 pintores hispanohablantes influyentes

    La pintura favorece la comunicación, la creatividad y la riqueza entre culturas. Es por esto por lo que conocer a los pintores hispanohablantes más influyentes de la historia puede darte pistas de la cultura de cada país y hacer que aprendas mucho más rápido.     Desde los pintores barrocos españoles más importantes hasta los pintores latinoamericanos contemporáneos, hoy damos un paseo artístico para recordar y rememorar los artistas más destacados. Continúa leyendo para saber quiénes son y por qué son tan reconocidos.

    La pintura en España

    Existen unos cuantos pintores españoles del barroco que nos gustaría destacar por lo que significaron para la época y lo que siguen influyendo hoy en día.

    1. Diego Velázquez (1599-1660): embajador del arte español por excelencia, pintaba para el rey Felipe IV. Es autor de los cuadros emblemáticos Las meninas y Las hilanderas, entre otros.

    2. Francisco de Goya (1746-1828): su obra se extendió en el tiempo más allá del barroco durante el romanticismo y es otro artista imprescindible en el arte español. Lo conocerás por su obra La maja desnuda.

    No obstante, nos gustaría nombrar pintores españoles actuales y contemporáneos, seguro que conoces a alguno de ellos:

    3. Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923): pintor realista en el seno de una familia artística de por sí. Representaba la luz y el mar como nadie, como se muestra en Los pescadores valencianos.

    4. Pablo Picasso (1881-1973): el artista malagueño no necesita presentación puesto que es mundialmente conocido. Supuso una revolución artística en el siglo XX y destacan obras como Autorretrato o Las señoritas de Aviñón.

    5. Salvador Dalí (1904-1989): para muchos, Dalí es el maestro del surrealismo, para otros fue simplemente un loco. Sea como fuera, Dalí es famoso mundialmente por la originalidad de sus obras, por ejemplo, La persistencia de la memoria o Tristán e Isolda.

    6. Ferran García Sevilla (1949- ): como artista polivalente y completo, además de pintor es escultor, videoartista y mucho más. Es un referente del arte abstracto contemporáneo en España.

    7. Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617-1682): su estilo naturalista y delicadeza se puede apreciar en la mayoría de sus obras de estilo religioso. Su influencia en artistas posteriores es más que destacable.

    Pintores latinoamericanos importantes

    El panorama artístico en América Latina es muy diverso y cuenta con el reconocimiento mundial de muchos de sus artistas. Ya de por sí el arte precolombino era de expresión evolucionada, comenzó a mostrar todo su potencial a partir de la llegada de los españoles.

    8. Frida Kahlo (México, 1907-1954): Frida no necesita presentación, la artista surrealista sigue influenciándonos día tras día. Su reconocimiento mundial habla por sí solo. Como muestran todos los autorretratos.

    9. Fernando Botero (Colombia, 1932- ): el artista colombiano utiliza colores vivos en sus pinturas, lo que ha llamado la atención de los amantes del arte. Además, es escultor y dibujante, ¡un artista muy completo!

    10. Oswaldo Guayasamín (Ecuador, 1919-1999): pintor destacado por su representación del sufrimiento humano, así como de la tragedia. Su arte expresionista se ha abierto un hueco entre los artistas más destacados del siglo XX a nivel mundial.

    11. Wifredo Lam (Cuba, 1902-1982): si lo que buscas es fusión del arte caribeño con surrealismo y cubismo, este artista te sorprenderá.

    12. Guillermo Kuitca (Argentina, 1961- ): este pintor y grabador argentino es especialista en arte abstracto y expresivo. Le gusta representar temas de importancia actual como el espacio, la memoria y la identidad.

    13. Carlos Mérida (Guatemala, 1891-1984): este pintor y muralista guatemalteco destacó por la expresión moderna de sus obras. Se le considera uno de los grandes de la pintura de Latinoamérica.

    14. Fernando de Szyszlo (Perú, 1925-2017): este artista nacido en Lima sigue siendo hoy en día un pintor influyente y referente del arte abstracto en América Latina.

    Famous Spanish Painters from Spain

    There are a few Spanish Baroque painters that we would like to highlight because of what they meant to the period and what they still influence today.

    1. Diego Velázquez (1599-1660): ambassador of Spanish art par excellence, he painted for King Philip IV of Spain. He is the author of the emblematic paintings Las Meninas and Las Hilanderas, among others.

    7. Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617-1682): his naturalistic style and delicacy can be seen in most of his religious paintings. We can appreciate his influence on later artists.

    Outstanding Latin American Painters

    The Latin American art scene is quite diverse and many of its artists are world-renowned. Pre-Columbian art was already an outstanding expression, but it began to show its full potential after the arrival of the Spaniards.

    8. Frida Kahlo (Mexico, 1907-1954): Frida speaks for herself! The surrealist artist continues to influence us day after day. Her worldwide recognition doesn’t need an introduction, as all her self-portraits show.

    9. Fernando Botero (Colombia, 1932- ): the Colombian artist uses bright colours in his paintings, which has attracted the attention of art lovers and followers. He is also a sculptor and draughtsman, a very complete artist!

    10. Oswaldo Guayasamín (Ecuador, 1919-1999): a painter noted for his depiction of human suffering and tragedy. His expressionist dark art has earned him a place among the world’s leading 20th century artists due to the quality of his masterpieces.

    11. Wifredo Lam (Cuba, 1902-1982): if you are looking for a fusion of Caribbean art with surrealism and cubism, this artist will surprise you.

    12. Guillermo Kuitca (Argentina, 1961- ): this famous Argentinean painter and engraver specialises in abstract and expressive art. He likes to represent issues of current importance such as space, memory and identity.

    13. Carlos Mérida (Guatemala, 1891-1984): his Guatemalan painter and muralist was appreciated for the modern expression of his works. He is considered one of the best Latin American painters.

    14. Fernando de Szyszlo (Peru, 1925-2017): born in Lima, this artist is still an influential painter and benchmark for abstract art in Latin America today.
